Hydrogen Analysis (Embrittlement Testing)
Accurate hydrogen determination in metals to guard against embrittlement, by inert gas fusion.

Hydrogen Analysis
Hydrogen dissolved in a metal can cause embrittlement, cracking, and premature failure, even at very low concentrations. Measuring hydrogen content is a routine control for high-strength steels, titanium, plated parts, and welded assemblies. Luvak determines hydrogen on the LECO RH404 to ASTM E1447, reporting results to ASTM and customer limits.
Hydrogen testing supports incoming inspection, process control, and failure analysis, and is often required after plating or heat treatment, where hydrogen can be introduced.
Why Hydrogen Testing Matters
Prevents Embrittlement Failures
Detects hydrogen before it causes cracking.
Post-Plating & Heat Treatment
Confirms bake-out and process control.
Low Detection Limits
Reliable measurement at the levels that matter.
