Energy
Luvak provides accredited elemental and interstitial analysis for the materials used across green energy and power generation. As an ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap-accredited laboratory with more than 50 years of experience in materials testing, we support materials that must perform under heat, pressure, and corrosion.
What We Test for Energy
Energy applications push materials hard, so verifying composition is central to keeping them reliable in service.
Green Energy Materials
Bio coal, metals used for hydride generation, hydroelectric plant components, and occasional solar parts (not wafers), typically for failure analysis.
Our Analysis Methods
ICP Elemental Analysis
Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) to ASTM E2371, E1479, E2594, and E3061.
A versatile, efficient method run on the SPECTRO ARCOS FHX22, providing one of the most accurate testing methods available today.
DCP Elemental Analysis
Direct current plasma emission spectroscopy (DCPES) to ASTM E1097 and E2371.
A classic optical method run on the Beckman Spectra Span VI, backed by more than 30 years of experience.
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
Flame atomic absorption (AA) spectroscopy to ASTM E663.
Less prone to spectral interference, AA provides accurate detection of trace metals using the Perkin Elmer 3030B.
Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption
Graphite furnace atomic absorption (GFAA) to ASTM E1184.
An electric furnace and multiple heating steps remove interferences and isolate the target element, giving sub-ppm determination of trace metals on the Shimadzu AA6650.
All samples are dissolved in-house before analysis; our methods are destructive.
Industries We Serve
