Metal Alloy Composition Analysis
Luvak provides full compositional analysis of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys against customer or industry specifications. As an ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap-accredited laboratory with more than 50 years in materials testing, we confirm exactly what an alloy is and whether it meets spec.
What We Test for Alloy Composition
Ferrous Alloys
Steels and stainless steels.
Non-Ferrous Alloys
Nickel, titanium, aluminum, cobalt, and copper alloys.
Major, Minor & Trace Elements
Full compositional breakdown.
Specification Verification
Against customer or industry standards.
Our Analysis Methods
ICP Elemental Analysis
Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) to ASTM E2371, E1479, E2594, and E3061, on the SPECTRO ARCOS FHX22.
DCP Elemental Analysis
Direct current plasma emission spectroscopy to ASTM E1097 and E2371, on the Beckman Spectra Span VI.
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
Flame atomic absorption to ASTM E663, on the PerkinElmer 3030B.
Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption
GFAA to ASTM E1184, on the Shimadzu AA6650.
All samples are dissolved in-house before analysis; our methods are destructive.
